Covid-19

Ukrainian government took decision to prolong earlier announced quarantine till 22/May/2020. Emergency situation is declared all over Ukraine since 24/Mar/2020. Foreigners are still prohibited to cross border or Ukraine and all foreign-crew is not allowed to disembark from vessels. All airports (except Boryspil) are closed and all international flights cancelled.

Ports/terminals continue operation normally. All inward/outward clearances since announcement of quarantine are performed without delays.
Inward clearance procedure remains the same: quarantine doctor boards the vessel first and measures temperature of crew. Following two scenarios after quarantine inspection/measurements are applicable:

  1. No affected to temperature or to covid-19 symptoms seamen detected. Immigration, custom authorities and surveyors, stevedores are allowed to board the vessel and to perform clearance/work. Cargo operations star immediately after completion of inward clearance.
  2. If at least one of crew members is detected to have covid-19 symptoms and has temperature higher then 37,0 degrees then he will be transported to hospital where covid-19 testing will be performed and he will be isolated there awaiting the results (average awaiting time is 2-3 days). Free pratique will not be granted to vessel before receipt of his covid-19 testing results. In case if result will be negative – them free pratique will be granted immediately and cargo operations will start. In case if result will be positive – free pratique will not be granted and vessel quarantined for 14 days.

It should be noted that there were not any cases of covid-19 determination on board of vessels arriving to Ukrainian ports, so there is no clear understanding as to clearance procedures.
