BLDK channel navigation rules (latest version)

Hereunder are official BDLK channel navigation restrictions which are in force since 00:00 lt 19/Oct/2019:

Max LOA / Beam / Draft — 215 m / 32,5 m / 10,30 m (fw)

Escorting tug is compulsory for channel passage in the following cases:

• LOA exceeds 187 m;
• Sailing draft exceeds 10,00 m fw;
• Sailing draft exceeds 8,00 m fw (at night time only).

Vessels with LOA more then 200 m are allowed to pass the channel only during day-time.

Please be informed that Ministry of Justice has cancelled order #2 (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/z0076−18) basis which escorting tugs were cancelled and max LOA was extended to 230 m. Harbour Master officially issued the order which stipulates change of BDLK channel navigation rules to be as follows starting from 00:00 lt 19/Oct/2019.
